The HAUS SCHITTER is a carefully restored farmhouse in the district of Ledermoos. The rentals of the apartments are managed by the local owners. All apartments are furnished with solid wood furniture made of local Swiss pine and offer a cozy atmosphere. Enjoy your breakfast on our breakfast terrace in summer and start your day filled with experiences, or simply use our garden and let your soul dangle. Upon request, we will deliver freshly baked pastries or eggs from our own chickens directly to your apartment door. Mauterndorf is the oldest market municipality in the state of Salzburg and has preserved its historic atmosphere to this day. We are a 5-minute walk from the historic town center with its diverse culinary offerings. In SUMMER, we are an ideal starting point for hikes or bike tours. The recreational pool, mini-golf, tennis courts, football field, and a gliding airport are in close proximity. In our castle, you can experience the Middle Ages as part of a castle experience. Many festivals in summer testify to our connection to living tradition. In WINTER, we score points with our location amidst 5 ski areas (Speiereck/Großeck – Fanningberg – Aineck – Obertauern and Katschberg). All ski areas are connected by a lift system and a free ski bus. Ride in a hot air balloon over the deeply snow-covered winter landscape or take a winter ride on one of the old steam locomotives of the Taurachbahn in historic heated cars.
